The team behind Marry Me Mudgee recently launched their third issue of the stylish magazine with a party at the beautiful Augustine in Mudgee. The magazine is bursting at the seams with inspiration, a directory of Mudgee’s finest suppliers, and a showcase of real weddings from the quaint town – a perfect addition to your coffee table to flick through on lazy weekend mornings. With an array of venues, vineyards and some very trendy and creative suppliers, Mudgee has without a doubt become a hot destination for weddings. We had a chat with Marry Me Mudgee’s editor, Haylee Robison about her recent experience in coordinating a fab styled photo shoot for the front cover of their latest edition. After hours and hours of searching for inspiration for the perfect front cover shot, pinning thousands of front cover worthy images and asking everyone second person down the street, “what front cover would you like to see this time around on Marry Me Mudgee?” I stumbled across an image that I knew would be amazing.
As we all know, Mudgee is full of fantastic vendors, so bringing this masterpiece to life was the easy part. I knew that I had to feature a couple with real, raw love. I knew it had to be an image that potential brides-to-be could relate to and picture themselves in that exact image.
Our front cover model Jess has been a friend of mine for some years through socializing and working together. As soon as I had the vision I knew she would be perfect. Through lengthy messages, a lot of bribing and convincing and working around her busy working schedule, Jess and her partner Simon very generously gave up their afternoon to make our Issue 3 cover vision come to life.
I still find days where I pinch myself. I am still mind-blown at the amount of effort and work that went into creating this shoot. I cannot thanks all of the vendors involved enough for helping me bring this all together.
