Loved up for Valentine's Day

By The Bride's Avenue

OK so maybe you've been so caught up in this whirlwind we call life that you've totally forgotten today is Feb-14. Perhaps the influx of loved-up Facebook posts didn't raise a red flag. Maybe you don't like commercialism. Whatever the reason for not having something prepared earlier, we have your back! We've gathered our five fave ideas for spoiling that someone special, that are super easy to do and with very little prep time (so yep, you could literally be digging yourself out of that hole by the time you finish work!).

Whether you "believe" in it or not - Valentine's day is an amazing excuse to jump on the love hype and celebrate with your lover, your bae, your man, your girl, your cat - whoever draws the number one card of importance for you, right now. It's a simple reminder to take a few minutes and show them you care and appreciate that they care, too. Here's some inspo for all the lovers out there:

1. Give each other a massage.

Everyone has a bottle of lotion or oil laying around the house! A massage is inexpensive, simple, but oh so effective. No explanation necessary.

2. Create your very own love-inspired cocktail.

3. Get intimate and emotional.

Turn off the lights, have a candlelit dinner (it doesn't have to be extravagant - everything tastes good under candle light!) and finish off with Netflix and a romantic comedy.

4. Give the gift of coupons.

We know, they're kinda corny. But they virtually cost nothing (except your time and whatever you promise!), they can be hilarious if you put your mind to it, and I don't think anyone has ever actually complained about getting an IOU of the lovemaking kind...
These ones are available for instant download upon purchase, and guarantee some laughs.

5. Get in front of the camera.

And we're not talking naked selfies. Get in touch with one of our amazing photographers and book in for an overdue couple shoot with pictures you'll cherish forever (and ever!). Seriously, we mean it - when was the last time you got a decent shot of the two of you??
We've got some inspo for you below, featuring local lovers Isabella Harris and Reed Clarke... can you say, #cute?
