Lucy + Tim // A Dubbo Wedding

April 2018 //  Local lovers Lucy and Tim created a wedding that reflected their personalities and style perfectly - and we’re so excited to share it with you!
Lucy told us, “with a collaboration of vintage and bohemian influence, an amazing celebration was had with our dearest friends and family in the picturesque location of the Rawsonville Memorial Hall, the beautiful building was the centrepiece of the day. The wedding theme emerged through my creative interests as an art teacher, we combined bold blooms, colourful textiles, vintage brass candelabras, gold decadent mirrors, recycled french doors, palm leaf plates and carved antique styled bamboo cutlery to match.
Tim and I felt it was important to incorporate and support local produce, products and utilise local businesses within the area.
Tim and I felt it was important to incorporate and support local produce, products and utilise local businesses within the area. One example was our amazing thickened double cream produced just down the road from the hall by Little Big Dairy Co. Dolloped on top our scrumptious wedding cake handmade by the groom’s aunty. We did all the work ourselves
which helped keep costs down. Creating all of the foliage hangings and table flowers with the help of family and friends.
Our wedding favours were hand poured jars of honey, from local bee keeper Daniel Warman.
The rural scenery surrounding created a relaxed atmosphere, while guest enjoyed beverages served by Tenelle and her team from AuRevior Vintage Van in crystal cut glasses hired from Bespoke Country Weddings and canapés from Smoking Brothers Catering. Guests mingled amongst the hall, with the sun setting and light dappling through the kurrajong trees, resting drinks on wine barrels hired by Taylormade Weddings and Events and played a few games of bocce, croquet and jenga.
The unique, old and very private hall was brought to life for a night of celebration under the stars. We listened to countless classic songs by local talent and friends Isaac and Shane. Copious amounts of laughing through speeches and plenty of dancing about on the old timber floorboards. The hall and surrounding trees twinkled with an abundance of fairly lights, (handy marrying an electrician) under the clear night sky. Guests enjoyed the atmosphere as they kicked back on wicker lounges, listening to the band’s music fill the night air, while many partied on inside.
Finally our photographer Ben Adams, who believe it or not was a few years above me in school and who is now a very successful and sought after photographer from the Hunter Valley. Ben captured every second that made Tim and I truly happy on our wedding day. Our photos captured the day perfectly, every precious moment shared with our loved ones and ourselves. We cannot recommend him or any other business that we used on the day enough.
Talk about perfection!

Naomi + Mason // A Dubbo Wedding

February 2018 // Local couple Naomi and Mason were married in February at the picturesque Lazy River Estate. Adamant about doing their wedding “our way,” they succeeded by having a beautifully rustic and laid-back affair that reflected both their personalities perfectly. If you need more convincing, check out their amazing cake - a formal, elegant white design coupled with a gaming theme at the back!
This was both the bride and groom’s second wedding, having previous spouses pass away from terminal illnesses. Both Mason and Naomi believe that their wedding “shows that even after great and tragic loss, new love can be found. Life is too short and we are living our life to the fullest.”
Surrounded by family and their five children, we think it was the perfect celebration of life, love and quirkiness.
